B I O G R A P H Y
I have been a potter, ceramist, and sculptor for the past 40 years and have exhibited my work nationally in galleries, art centers, museums, private collections and public spaces. After receiving a B.A. in political science from Allegheny college and a J.D. from NYU School of Law, I became interested in pottery and ceramics and discovered the Anderson Ranch in Snowmass, Colorado. After working there for two years, getting a grounded ceramics education and developing my skills, I moved to Denver, Colorado and opened my first studio. I’ve maintained Durst Studio, Gallery and Sculpture Garden since 1990 where I make and show my work and others’. Since 2001 I teach classes through Art Students League of Denver.
And more recently, have become a part time resident of the big island of Hawaii where I have a studio and teach a class at the Donkey Mill Art Center in Holualoa, Hawaii
